solid cel, maybe bad distributor?
while i was driving my car just stumble on me and i get this solid cel. even when i turn it to ignition i still get it. when i put in the jumper connector i still get a solid cell. does anyone know of this problem? im thinking it could be my distributor, i've been hearing some kind of noise coming from that area. but i was wondering if my distributor was bad would it cause the solid cel? i believe my fuel pump isn't priming also when i turn it on to ignition. i check the fuses and they seem to be all good
yeah but my fuel pump does prime, wouldn't it not if the ecu was bad? beside what are my like chances if i just drove down the street and my car just stumbled and my ecu just went out all of a sudden.

I would try using another ECU if that's possible. Try to flag someone down on the street, or in a parking lot and ask if you can use there's really quick and see what happens then.

but no one answered my question, would a bad dizzy cause any cel's? my friend had an obd-0 crx and he had the same problem. he replaced it and it was good to go, but i have ob1 if that matters. i just want to make sure so i dont waste my money on something that isn't the problem.

This doesn't guarantee it is the ECU so borrow a known good ECU from a buddy. If the CEL goes away and the car runs fine THEN buy an ECU. If a known-good ECU doesn't solve the problem there is some troubleshooting you'll need to do.
