fuel pump doesn't prime, distributor hot to touch?
The car is a 1999 Civic Si
It's been sitting for around 9 months, I stripped the turbo kit off and intended to sell it once I got it back to running form. Fast forward to today.
I got the parts I needed to do a test fire.
Fuel pump isn't priming, no voltage to it.
Main relay is good, tested with a helms
Fuses are good
using an OBD1 ECU, CEL stays solid, won't pull codes.
using stock OBD2 ECU, No cel on start sequence...
I was checking fuses under the hood and leaned against the distributor, it was hot to the touch (car didn't run at all, just cranked a few times)
I plugged in the stock ecu and it's getting hot also.
I'm stumped.

could be wrong but maybe you need a new dizzy, also check your grounds all around the bay, then if it comes down to it you may need a new fuel pump

The engine bay grounds are good. There's no power going to the pump, so that rules out the pump for right now. The main relay isn't activating, but it is good. So it's pre-main relay. somewhere. I'm just not sure where to look next.

Figured it out, was a short in the map sensor wiring. 2 wires were touching. It's running like a top now.
