Default shocked on shocks

the one to the left is the damaged on other one is the good one. my question is, is that left one repairable, or is it safer to get an exchange, my friend told me i can just hammer it back into shape. But i dont feel like waiting another two weeks, so if it can be used safely then i'll prolly just fix it and use it.

i'm sure you CAN hammer it back.. but do you want to take the risk of just snapping while you're doing 70 on the highway?

thats what i was thinking, safety is important i like being alive, its just that my friend says its just a minor bend that can be softly tapped back into form. still thinking about that refund though thx for the input

Try using some plyers and bending it back instead of hammering at it

Get a new shock; that perch will never be as strong as it was (work hardening). Which brings me to my next point, what the hell did you do to bend the perch?

Working at UPS myself, that doesn't really seem like the kinda damage that would happen while its getting moved, especially if it was in a box.

I'd send it back, as was mentioned earlier, bending metal back and forth tends to weaken it considerably...

those struts look new to me, so u are suggesting they came like this fromt he factory? Its gotta be shipping.

and btw, i have recieved things from UPS in worst of a condition than that......being in a box doesnt mean it cant get damaged, it looks like the other struts might have hit on it or they were thrown....

If possible, I'd try to send them back for an exchange.

Otherwise, I would not feel bad at all for just slowly bending it back w/ vise grips and driving on them.
