I called myself using the search but I didn't see any that related. I am an automatic driver so I don't know much about clutches. Question is for a friend though. She says that her clutch has just enough pressure to start the car but it won't go into gear. What is/are the problem(s).

 

Check the clutch-fluid resivoir, (DOT 3 Fluid) but most likely the clutch is probably toast. I replaced mine about 10 months ago, it had lasted 210K miles.

 

thanks for replying, i see peeps coming thru and viewing but no responses. her car is at 166k. i am sure it is time anyways.

 

Sounds about right, depends on the driver to.....
