Default timing for vortech s/c

i am having an issue with my new setup, its bogging at idle. when i snap the throttle there is no response. but when i fully advance my dist while running. it has instant response. so i have come to the conclusion that its my timing. i am affraid to advance my timing to much, i dont want to have any detonation. i will be checking my timing with a light tomorrow night.

what kind of base timing are you guys running on your FI setups?
full advance?

Nice pictures...

Was your car tuned with timing synced with the ecu - at (for most motors) normal ~16* timing?

my kit was put on less than a week ago so no it has not been tuned yet, i need to buy a safc then i will have it tuned.

on that note, i plan on getting it tuned by Import Power House. in Phoenix, AZ they are going to charge me $200.
is that a decent price? has anyone had there car tuned by IPH? what was your experience like?

Time is money man, what do you think it's worth to put it the dyno and tune it? I charge by the hour for all dyno tuning weather it's an FMU or a Motec.
