Balance shaft eliminator kit install Question
http://www.kaizenspeed.com/products_AA.html
before i order this kit and take the shafts out i want to make sure i can install the kit by myself. i heard u need a press to install it but a hammer works fine too.
my biggest concern is that i heard u have to strip the engine completely before pluging the holes with the hammer or somethin can anyone gimme feedback on this, thanks

Take the engine out of the car and pull the belt cover off and the belt. Then take off that gear cover thing. i think the oil pump comes off next then you pull the pump off with one of the shaft still connected. that shaft comes off by slidding the washer thing until that knotch matches the shaft pin(youll see what im talking about. Then the other shaft that is still in the block should come right out. thats how you take the shafts out. the plugs can easily be pressed in with a simple press. BUT you still have to take the mains off to either turn the shaft bearings or install the solid dowel pins with the hex plug. you have to tap threads as well to install the hex plug. now that you have striped the block, you might as well change out the bearings. Then you might as well change out the rods, pistons and rings while it's out. also his eliminator kit comes with very detailed instructions.

im running the kit and did the install myself, the install is pretty self explanitory int the instructions you get but the motor must be out of the car, because you must tap and block an oil galley hole that feeds the shafts, and i personally recomend that you use a press to put the plugs in the oil pump. i tryed it with a hammer and it would have worked but the press seemed alot smoother- i dont notice the difference except maybe the gas pedal vibrates a little more, but i dont notice it anymore. all in all i think it was a good kit
