You're kidding right?

The shops here are either:
1. Total Idiots (great majority)
2. Good, but it will take you 6 months to get an appointment

If it's a turbo kit... follow the instructions and do it yourself.

That's a good way to ensure that your motor will only last about 5k miles after the install.

Junkyard kits are easy, just do a few searches on this website, and do it yourself. If you need charge piping, talk to Doug at Performance Muffler in Norman. He can get it done a lot better and cheaper than most others in the area.

Everything else... if you need to order parts, order them online. All the local shops are horrid parts suppliers, and are very expensive for most things.

I too live in Oklahoma City. I am going to be installing my turbo kit soon, but will be doing it myself. I work at a Honda dealership so I have people to help if I needed.

Just do it yourself... if you run into problems, there are many people here that would be willing to help, as well as local people in OKC that would help in exchange for dinner or something along those lines. A hell of a lot cheaper than paying a shop too much to do it.

If you do have to go to a shop, talk to JR at PowerHouse... but seriously... you can do this yourself. Get started, do searches here on H-T, post any problems you have, and if worse comes to worse, post up that you need someone to come help you and what you'll be willing to trade for that help.

Do it yourself, or you can take it to one of two shops in tulsa. One shop is called Humble Performance, and you have to drop your car off and wait until whenever he gets around to it. Another guy named Josh Rios does referral work from a shop called Extreme. You can hit him up directly though. He does quality work and can do it if you really don't want to do it yourself. Let me know if you want more info.

I pretty much agree, also with the statement "I don't know much about these things" well that probably means you do not need to drive a boosted honda.

Hey, we all start somewhere. If you guys would have seen Direp just last year, he didnt have a clue. Now, he has taken it upon himself to learn the finer details of boosting and how to make it better. In most cases I ask him for suggestions when it used to be the other way around.

Calling other people stupid, is just that ....stupid. At least they dont use a radiator hose for a IC pipe.
