cam sprocket question

Default cam sprocket question

i just installed my camshafts with the sprockets attatched but the arrows are not aligned...can i just unbolt them and align them while the camshafts still installed?...or do i have to take the whole camshaft out??....

The sprockets can only be installed on the cams at one specific angle. If your timing marks are not lining up, you installed the timing belt incorrectly.

the timing belt is not on yet.....but now that the cams are installed and sealed can i just remove the bolt at the end of the cam and take the cam gears off and just align them??

Again, the cam sprockets can only fit onto the cams at one specific angle. You can't simply unbolt, rotate, and reinstall them. If the cams were installed correctly, you should have no problems once you install the timing belt. If you plan on rotating the cams or the crank, be cautious of where the pistons are in relation to the valves, and use care not to generate any valve/piston contact.
