Default mini me on an 8v motor

i have a 95 CX hatch with the 8v motor, does it have the valve reliefs so i can put the d16z6 16v mini-me head on there? or do the pistons only have two reliefs? my car is annoyingly slow, and i wanna start doing somthing about that.

and if i can do this swap what do i need to complete? i need the head, the vtec solenoid, the distributor, the intake, the TB, anything else?
thanks, Adam

search and you can find a pretty good amount of info, i think bauleycivic did a write up on it too

remeber to get a timing belt and water pump to replace when you do this to get it out of the way

i think its easier to just swap the entire motor. also the car will be faster with any transmission that isnt from a cx or vx.

i dont think that a mini me is even possible because, as you mentioned: the valve reliefs

well on the huge "mini-me swap" write up, the author said CX's should be fine, they have the correct valve reliefs.

basically i should probably let you guys know that this is all in preperation to possibly do a SOHC turbo setup, though im not sure yet, and anyway to make more power out of my CX is better then nothing. i would look into getting an EX tranny anyway, infact i should do that first...

Only the very early 92 CX's had the 2 relief pistons. I built a minime out of my D15B8 and it ran strong. I had previously installed a Fidanza flywheel, an Exedy clutch, and an EX tranny, and it was quite a livable motor.

Nope. When I pulled my head, I had 4 releif pistons and I have a 92 CX hatch.

Note that I said the very early 92 CX's. I made no reference to all of the 92 CX's.

Goddamn 912 you sure as hell know how to ramble on. Try using some punctuation in there. I thought they teach about run-on sentences pretty early in school, I know at my Georgia school they did and it was a shitty low-budget school.
