hey all

i've got a 1996 Civic (Ek) and i put in a b18c yesterday but one of my mounts doesn't fit, its the rear mount that on the gear box, i have one but its too long (not sure what it was off???) and it push the engine to forward, which mount to i use???





what bracket do i need in there????

That would be the transmission T bracker. off any 94+ GSR.

 

Um I think your talking bout the passenger side tranny mount right?? (the only one that looks like that right?) or which one are you looking at?? Cuz theres five mounts

the 2 lower tranny mounts (which one of them the passenger side one is the one im thinking your talking bout) /the 1 upper passenger side tranny mount/ the 1 rear mount thats a bizatch to get to/ and the 1 driverside mount thats right under the cams mount.

which one is it?

 

sorry i'm not sure the name but its the rear tranny mount, i've changed the pic and its the bracket i need but the one i have is too long, which one do i use?? anyone have a honda part number for it????

oh my car is a JDM so its right hand drive

also does anyone know if i can use the start motor and power steering pump from a B16a????????

 

what you need is the 99-00 Si (SIR here in canada) rear bracket, it's shorter than the integra ones, i don't have the part number handy though

 

over here we don't have 99-00si only 98 are they the same??? like a 98 Ek civic with a B16a??? same mount?

cool i've just been to honda and ordered that bracket, its going to take 14 days from japan

now power steering pump and starter motor, can i use one from a b16a???

i've brought front HUBs of a b16a 5th gen civic can i also use the driveshalfs too?? are they the right lenght??

 

You can use 94+ integra driveshafts, 92-95 delsol DOHC vtec driveshafts, or 99+ civic Si DOHC vtec driveshafts. They are all the same. The B16A starter will work just fine also. The power steering pump will not fit, but you can use your factory pump with 99+ civic Si power steering bracket mounts. Your in New Zealand, so the models might be a little different. But this info should help you out none the less.
