Default b16 b18

is it possible to just swap a b16 block for a b18? I know u'd need new internals. Would there be any gains? Sorry if this sounds stupid.....just kinda learning here. Thanks

actually yes i've heard many times that a b16 head will fit onto a b18 block. usually its the people with non-vtec integras using the b18a-b engines that find the vtec head to put onto their cars. and yes there is a gain. how much i don't know but it would be significant. new internals wouldn't be needed but hey while the engine is all apart why not...

b18 block + b16 head = lsvtec. if your planning on doing this you should do some research before you do.

I'm Planning to do a motor swap into my EK civic. I have a 1997 Civic Coupe Ex and I'm planning to buy a 1997 b18c (GSR) USDM mOtor and I was wandering if I have to do any rewiring to the GSR ecu? Or will all the wirirng fit excatly into the ecu? If not can you help me re-wire into the gsr ecu?

Which one is better to go? b18c(GSR) Or B18C5 (ITR)!
