exactly what does it do?

 

seperates oil from the vapor in the intake manifold wich helps carbon build up and detonation.

 

ok so it takes the carbon out of the intake and helps with carbon build up.. now i was looking on the weld and fab forum and there were people in there making catch cans can i have a write up on how to make a catch can..

also does the catch can help with the motor smoking?
