i have a b18a1 block needing a head, is a b20 head a better one for it? or is it about the same as a ls one.

 

cams are a bit different and teh combustion chamber may differ

 

combustion chambers are equal. 81mm

 

b20 blocks are 84 mm.

ls, gsr and b16's all have the same 81mm bore

 

Heads are the same, intake/exhaust manifolds are different, but just use your stock stuff.

 

Well the b20 head has a 84mm combustion chamber so putting it on your ls block will lower the compression.

 

Only the p8r head has an 84mm, it also has vtec sized valves.
the rest of b20 heads are 81mm, same p75 casting
