How far off is the stock tach?
I have a VX cluster in the car. I set my fuel cut off in Uberdata at 7200 exactly (stock motor, no reason to go over that.
) My question is... I hit that cutoff at 6500/6600rpm on the VX cluster. That seems pretty far off... is that right?

Yes I have a CEL but it's not pulling the code.

they are off high and low, not just high.
I've had clusters about 500 on the high side, but my current LS motor fuel cuts when my tach reads 6700. Its different for each tach and there is no way any of us can tell you what yours should be.

1-200 off doesnt seem right on to me, 10-20 off might lol...
Anyways, I have a automatic EX 2000.... I think its off (low) by about 400-500... it always changes gears at 6500rpm, instead of around the redline when I floor it.. also, when locked in gear, it rev limits just before the redline... but I believe that is set higher than the numbers... so yeah... im not making sense anymore... too tired
Is there a "stock" replacement tach that we can get that fits stock location, but is actually accurate?

automatics like to do that. my friend's auto 94 ex does it too. in order to get it all the way to redline you gotta put it in 1st gear.
