Default stripped lug nut/studd.

well i had a flat the other day.....i replaced it with a spare. i notice that 2 of the nuts where kinda hard to tight them but i managed. got a ney tire put on the rim replace it and again those 2 nut where kind of hard...so when i tries to take them out to replace them they where stuck. i tried to put as much force to brake them...but instead the studd started to spin...so now i cant take the rim off. the studd got striped on the hub. how can i take the rim or brake the studds???

Wow...that sucks man. Disc or drum brakes? You could try getting a nut breaker and going at it or a dremel.

its actually the front left. and i don't want to damage the rim.....another thing is it uses tunner nuts....so the hole is pretty small.... i already chipped the holes a bit.

The only thing i could think off, is drill the nut off and hit it with a rubber hammer to break the nut off the stud.

try to apply pressure and tighten and then back off by trying to loosen if nothing works. time to cut it off. maybe use some heat.

lol, this problem SUCKS.. It happen on one of my CRX's.. I ended up just using a dremel with a good bit on it to just grind away on the lug nut. Thats the only way I could end up taking this thing out.. I even tried using an air chizzle to try to make the lug nut split in half, but that didn't work at all and I ended up messing up my wheel

the prob is that the holes in the rim are very small, they only take the tuner nuts...that why i'm having a hard time geting to it...

When it happened on my car, the mechanic used an air tool with a socket on the lug nut, and turned up the torque, to break the stud. Then the mechanic used a hammer to pound the broken stud from the front & out the back of the hub.

No damage to the wheel.
