Default Buddy Club Vcon Vtec Controller

Does anyone own one of these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

I have read the normal info on them, but would like to know :

The rpm range they adjust from and to (floor and ceiling)
The rpm adjustment increments (every 100 rpms or ... )
If the rpm adjustment increments are labeled, or guestimated
If there are DIP switches to adjust the hysterisis range

I searched and couldn't really find any info on this?

Thanks!

Get your motor tuned on a obd1 solution such as crome, uberdata, hondata, neptune etc.

Think about what the unit does.
It engages vtec by bypassing the ecu's vtec signal.
It will make your ecu run on "non-vtec" or "low cam" fuel & timing maps all the time.
You will not benifit from engaging vtec way before normal, you will actually loose power & have a horrible powerband.

Actually it does what it needs to. It allows you to "run" in vtec longer. When I had it in my car I could hear it "kick in" at 4800~5000 rpm and by the time it got up to the default engaging point it was pretty loud. Reason I got rid of it is because i got a vafc for a bill. If your looking to get one ill sell you mine. Pm me and ill give you pics and more info.

but if you buy it , it's necessary to tune fuel map.

You guys are missing the point...

A VTEC ECU has two seperate fuel/ignition maps. One for low cam, and one for high cam (VTEC)... the only thing this controller does is give you the ability to change the VTEC engagement point. The problem here, is that when your changing the engagement point using this controller, you are not changing any of the information in the ECU, so your engine will probably run worse that it did in stock form.

If you have the severe urge to change the VTEC points, use a ECU program as mentioned above so you can tune the fuel/ignition maps as well.

Visit http://www.pgmfi.org for more info.

I understand how vtec works. I also agree that this is not the best thing. But this will help alittle. Your not looking at 15+ more like 3hp gain if your lucky. Ive seen some si's running this unit with bolt on's and they like it. This is more for better sound out of your car. If your looking to get more power get your ecu chipped.
