Is LSD in a mostly stock B16A worth the money?
I am planning my swap to B16A in my '91 CRX Si. I plan to keep it mostly stock. Exceptions will be air intake, ECU, Tanabe exhaust, and possible cam modifications. I should not exceed 190 HP or so (140 lb/ft torque?), and probably less than that. I have the option to upgrade to limited slip differential (LSD) for an extra $300. I will be driving mostly on the street, but would like any acceleration advantage that I can get. Is the LSD worth the extra money? Since I can spin the tires with my stock D16, I know wheel spin could be an issue. But is the advantage of LSD that great? Please give me your opinions and any facts that pertain (you guys know how I love real data).
Thanks,
Steve

For $300 I would do it without a doubt. LSD will give you:
1. Nice burn outs (if that's what you're into) since it spins both tires.
2. Better handling on the twisties (acceleration out of corners).
3. Better launches/quarter mile times (both tires turn).
I'm sure there are more but these are the first that come to mind.

hell yes it makes it a much more drivable car at the cornering moments...

well worth the loot!
(as long as it is not the phantom grip bs lsd crap)
