Default ecu compatibility question

I just bought a 1990 crx si with the d16a6 engine/tranny
I have a d16y8 head sitting in my garage, I'm thinking about throwing it on for a mini-me... my question is could I use a b16a ecu and wire up the vtec wires? I have everything else figured out plus I'm staying pre-obd

when does it turn on on that ecu? on a single cam its like 5400 or 5500 something around there. im pretty sure it will run on that ecu cause you can use a single cam ecu like a p28 on a dohc motor.
