Noticed after I came outside today to leave the my clutch felt wierd...
Started it up and put it in 1st and attempted to pull out and the clutch grabbed instantly and the very bottom...
So I shut the car off and checked the clutch pedal...
It was dripping all of the clutch fluid... (gsr swap-hydrotranny)
So I refill up the resivor and try it again... the pedal won't even pop back now... just sits at the floor and doesn't come back up...

What can the problem be?
Slave Cylinder bad??

The fluid was all over the pedal? That would mean ur master cylinder is blown..

 

yup change master cylinder and dont forget to bleed it. you can try to bleed it first to see if it will work but most likely need replacing

 

ah alright the master cyclinder... probably what i was thinking..
what do they run price wise? does this happen normally or what?

now , it very could be the slave cylinder also.
when mine went bad in my s-10 a few years ago the pedal would fall to the floor. they resivoir would be slowly droppping in fluid too.
the only thing is, i dont know if honda slave cylinders are on the inside or outside of the trans. i never bothered to look.

 

The clutch master cylinder seals have failed. During its death it released lots of crap into the clutch hydraulics. It is better to replace both the master and the slave cylinders at the same time. The debris from the failed master cyliner will soon eat up the slave. Be sure to flush the system with a good solvent, brake clean, before reassembly. Then refill the resivor and gravity bleed first. Just open the bleeder on the slave and keep adding fluild to the master till it is a steady stream of brake fluid. Then with the help of an assistant bleed the system by pumping the pedal, you have to pull it back up at first, till the slave cylinder shows no sign of air when the clutch is pushed to the floor and the bleeder is opened.

I would try getting these used because they might be pretty expensive brand new.. my slave cylider went out on me and luckily I had an extra one lying around..

oh and the thing about having to change both I would not worry about.. I would just change the master unless you have lots of money to throw around..

The seals and sliding parts wear at the same rate both master and slave should fail at about the same time. Its your choice, do it all now or do it again later. About $100 Total from Honda.
