i scored my sister a 90 integra rs 4 door for $300
the lady who sold it to me said it needed a new tranny but still drives. i was hoping it was just the clutch seeing that she dident get it checked out and all her other cars where automatics. i got the car home and took it for a spin. when i first took off i can feel the clutch slipping but when i go the switch into second it continues to slip and the rpms dont drop at all. i would expect the rpms to drop at least a little. is it common to not have an rpm drop as is the tranny was only using first gear with a bad clutch? the tranny does go into reverse.
what other signs should i be looking for?

If you're in gear and on the gas and the engine's spinning but the wheels aren't then the clutch is definitely gone. Unless you can get it working, it'd be hard to tell what's going on with the tranny.
