B16B VTEC solenoid

I can't see on my solenoid where the oil pressure switch goes. Does this motor not require one?

On other b16 solenoids that I've seen the switch was right there but I don't see it on here. And that hole that you see under the bracket doesn't go all the way through.

i have seen a few b16's lately with no pressure switch spot. The location is there but it hasnt been drilled and threaded. Just ground the switch back to the ecu. If the ecu doesnt see it ground you get no Vtec.

I've read about that and I'll do it as a last resort. This might make a difference, I don't know. The ecu that came with the swap has spoon stickers on it. So, either the previous owner was a ricer or it's a spoon ecu. Could it be that a Spoon ECU doesn't look for a pressure switch at all?

The motor was in a wreck so I got it for super cheap.
I've read about that and I'll do it as a last resort. This might make a difference, I don't know. The ecu that came with the swap has spoon stickers on it. So, either the previous owner was a ricer or it's a spoon ecu. Could it be that a Spoon ECU doesn't look for a pressure switch at all?

the ecu might not look for the switch but thats not why you dont have a location for the switch. Either way, that is how we have done every swap lately without that switch. No problems yet.
