power question
it i wanted to install a second battery to power a second amp i would need to ground the neg end of the battery right? to the car chassis? can one battery power two amps? does it depend on the output of the amp?
i was wondering if i needed two. because the starter runs off of the same battery as the first amp and when both draw current at the same time it is hard to start (sometimes) therefore leading me to conclude that if i got a second amp i would need a second battery so as not to drain the first one as fast. is this a legit argument?
edit: then when the second battery ran out of juice, i would unhook it and pop it on a charger. or is this not worth it?

I doubt you need a second battery.
I doubt you need a second battery.
so what youre saying is that when the starter is engaged the stereo shuts off or doesn't come on until after the car is started so that the stereo doesn't steal the current the battery needs to start the car? that's pretty ingenious. thanks for the help.
