Overheating- Fan doesn't start
Having a problem with my 94 Si. Car overheats after about 10-15mins of driving. I've noticed that the fans don't turn on at all (weither it's warm, I turn the AC on etc).
Someone told me it might be the fan switch or maybe the relay. How would I go about checking those? Any other ideas or sugguestions?

Duh! Haha I completely forgot about the fuse.
Well I checked it and lo and behold it was blown. Replaced it and drove around a bit to get it warmed up. Well it overheated again and I checked the fuse again and now the new one is blown
So it looks like it's blowing fuses once it tries to turn on. Suggestions?

you might have short in the fan... the only way to tell is to unplug the fan and apply 12v to one side and ground to one side of it. If it works good fan, and bad short some where?

YES, someone with the same problem (now fixed), the answer is either new wiring, thermostat, or your ecu had trouble reading the codes to turn it on

Back From The Dead!!
Ok well I finally got around to working on the car today. Seems the fan was hitting something and couldn't turn so that was blowing out the fuse.
Now this is what's happening, I fixed the fan so that it didn't hit anything and took it for a test drive. Stayed at halfway for awhile and then went up. Got back home and popped the hood to see if the fan was going, it wasn't and then when I was looking around it turned on. Went back inside the cabin to check the temp gauge and it was all the way at the end.
Notes: Fan works now, but didn't turn on till the temp gauge was all the way at the end.
Anyone have an idea on what it could be now? Thermostat? Fan Switch?

Could be air in the cooling system, try bleeding it and if that doesnt help them i bet its your thermostat sticking shut. My fans wont turn on unless its over 100+ or extended idleing.

you may still want to check the fan. whatever it was hitting may have worn it out. so it might be workin better but it could still be broken.
if the fan came on when it was idling it's not your fan switch. go for a long drive...and if it doesnt overheat while driving and then overheats while the car idles then its your thermostat (this is if the fan comes on).
isnt the fan switch after the thermostat? so therefore in order for the fsn to even turn on the thermostat would need to be open...i think thats how it works...my fan wasnt turning on last winter, replaced the fan switch and thermostat and it was fine
