some companies offer less expensive steel versions which they designate as 'street' dampers, and more expensive, lighter Al versions which they deem 'race' versions. the fluidampr for honda b has a removable ps pulley. some of the others have no ps pulley or ac pulley. i suppose that for some full drag apps you could run without an alternator, and just bolt a disk/plate to retain the timing belt gear on the crank snout, or just have a damper on the end with no pulleys at all.
