fluidampr w/accessories vs. fluidampr w/o accessories poss close to 10k revs
i have a built b16 im not going into details, but i havent spun it past 8600 yet. i know the valvetrain can handle it but i fear for my oil pump now. it is a stock itr pump. my question is, i already lost ac for the full race kit, but id like to keep power steering. is the fluidampr with accessories as good as the one with out?
thanks in advance.

i suppose its very good, i run the race version and have had no problems yet, great product. i would put just as much trust into the street version if i needed it.

As far as I know they work the same. The street pulley is heavier and smaller diameter than the race pulley. I have seen high RPMs (9000+) on the race pulley, I expect to run the same with the street pulley. I have not thought twice about doing it. I have a race pulley for sale too....

The race series (#630602) offers the same internal balanced protection as the street series (#590601). They both offer the same protection, the only difference is obviously you can have your P/S with the street series.

i bought the street version for my car, and it reved perfectly fine to 9600. although the sleeves didn't last, the oil pump is perfect.

um, thats not the answer i was looking for. i have spent my money elsewhere, and DO not want to argue with my steering wheel by disconnecting and driving manually with a pwer rack with no assist. i have done it before and will not do it again, and dont have the time to swap in a manual rack. and to overcome the drag of the power steering pump, ill just turn up the boost. he hee.

i ran the fluiddampner...street one...reving to 8700 daily...still skeptical about goin to 9500rpm...since i am running a gt35e powerband is way out there...i dunno about 10k revs way too much for my unbalance motor...its a factory block with forged rods and piston...

i am not saying i am going to live at 10k, but if it is still making power up there when i do race it, it will see that every now and then.

I wish they made the "race" one without the underdrive..or with only a small (like 10% underdrive)

that's why i went with the street one, i didn't want to underdrive the alternator, due to the mass amount of nasa command center eletronics i have between all the different controllers and gauges.
