I was looking to get new suspension and saw the tien basics and omni powers at about the same price so which one would u get..?
i am actually debating between these. have heard some dirt about the omni's. supposedly they fixed it already? i would go with the tien's
never been on omni...but I have tien basics and love it(smooth ride quality)....I would get some tien ss If I was supposed to do it again....

w3rd, you can even have custom rates and have the shocks revalved.
only thing I don't like is for the RA's price, I would like to have seen the rebound and compression independently adjustable instead of together.

tein basics are not stiff as hell, their spring rates are not high at all...infact, it's a street setup.
I bet you half the people voting in this poll (probably more), have never owned the tein basics or the omni power full coilover.
I've owned the Tein SS (basically the basic but with adjustable dampening and edfc compatability), and the Omni Power Sports.
I put a few thousand miles on both setups. If I were to do it over again, I'd only buy the SS over the omni sports if the prices were similar; the SS cost nearly $400 more, and I rarely adjusted the dampening once I dialed it in.
I wouldn't bother with the basic if it's significantly more than the omni power. I got the replacement collars for my omni power sports, since my omni powers have a lot more spring rate along with good dampening, and they've been fine....they also did well on the track, though I'm looking forward to going with a better setup in the future.....but it'll cost me.
I picked my omni power sports up for $550, and for that pice they have worked well despite the problems (the thin/fragile lower front collars
)....omni power corrected the problem quickly sending me the replacement parts, and it's been good bang for the buck since on my low horsepower integra.
Now if I was making a 500hp drag car, I wouldn't use them
