Vacuum question (pix)
I recently got an ebay intake and it doesnt have the nipple for the vacuum line at the very top where it joins the manifold. I was thinking of just tapping a hole in the coupler and not fighting it but I dont wanna put a hole in it. My friend told me I can move the line to the one that feeds the MAP sensor. I looked at it and it looks like there is a line coming off the T that is just CAPPED anyway....if I can use that one it would make things MUCH easier....
This is the line connected to the OEM intake, the one that is pointing down to the rubber tube.

It leads to this unit on the front of the intke manifold marked UP. what device is this?

and I think I can relocate it to this T fitting at the MAP sensor. The line to the right of the T is just capped off.

Let me know if I am right or wrong plz.

what is it for? IIRC the thing marked UP connects to a vacuum activated pushrod for what sounds like the butterflys. I could be wrong as I didnt look at the thing this morning before before my wife left. What effects can come from capping it?
t connects to the staring ir valve (aka air boost valve), not sure exactly what it does, my guess is some minor thing with smog, but it definately is not the iab's/butterfys, thats about 6 inches below it, as for the effects by capping it is none tha your will be able to see, jdm h22 is pretty much the same as usdm h22 (functional wise) and the jdm version is blocked off, so dont worry about it
