Default Which to boost for street H or B

I'm trying to decide whether to go with a H22 which I already have one SI or B16 which I have in another SI or get a B18. I'm going to build the motor with sleeves, and I would hope to make 400+ hp. The car would be driven almost daily. Also I would like to know the reasoning for your choice.

B18C or an LS/VTEC, because you don't need sleeves at that power level, and you can have a tranny that actually shifts at high RPM's.

You dont need sleeves at 400+ whp? Yea it is a B series, but lets not overrate them. I would make it worthwhile and go ahead and sleeve it, because your gonna end up wanting to push more boost through it, and you may as well do it right the first time. I could see if you were only going for 2-300, but not 400+ BTW, I would also go with the B18C for boost. Its your best option out of the two.

Yeah, it's a B-series, look at what people are doing with them instead of internet rumors. 600+ WHP on several stock sleeved cars without issue on here, and lots more over 500 WHP. I don't have a dyno nearby, but I have a stock sleeve GSR motor, I run 16 psi on it daily on pump gas and I've taken it to 28 psi on C16, on pistons/rods, stock sleeves, and an SC61. I drive my car every day at 16 psi, and I'd be pretty pissed if it wasn't making more than 400 WHP at those settings.

thanks for all the replies. What was that about the H22 tranny not being good for high rpm shifts?
