I found a intake that is used for swaps AEM Hybrid Intake and i was wondering has anybody else used it on their gsr swap or does anybody have it on another swap. I searched and found 1 thing but it was about a 88 ef wit a b16 lookin for one to buy im wondering how good is it and should i got with it wit my gsr swap

There are specific AEM Hybrid intakes for each chassis/engine combo. If you have an EF with a B18C1 (dual stage intake mani), you need a 21-5002. The one for the EF with a B16/B18C5 will be too high for the B18C1's TB and won't fit properly.

any idea if the aem short ram for the ls will bolt up into an eg? and does anyone know the pipe diameter for the ls short ram vs. the gsr short ram?
i know short rams suck, but im tired of stalling out in the rain.

 

how do short rams suck?? its safer and the temp is not that much of a difference that you would notice

i know a gsr one will work i will probably buy it but i was just wondering about this type of intake i didnt know if anybody had it or not and wanted to hear some comments about it.

 

i had the gsr one when i had the stock manifold, now i have the aebs manifold and it still works just as good

 

my friend has a hybrid CAI on his eg with a gsr in it
i would get the hybrid because it is cheaper than the regular one + the regular cai rubs on the front mout

Any short ram intake you want to run (or cheapest) + hack saw = fits everytime.
There is nothing wrong with short rams. I run one, and just take out my headlight at the track. If you don't take into account the air temp difference, a short ram will make more power due to the design having less bends in it, air flows more efficiently.

you have to take it into account, thats the main source of power difference.

 

I bought an AEM 5th Prelude CAI

It fit like ****, so I cut it into my own short air. I'd rather run the short air and not worry about rain and such anyhow.

I have the stock aem for a gsr in my eg, Fits fine

when i pull my headlight at the track, i no longer have to take that into account. On the street I do though.
