Default cable tranny vs. Hydro tranny

I am running a b16a with a LS tranny the car don't feel good to me. I just got a box from a b16a its the same cable box as the LS tranny does that going to make a big diffrence. Or should I try to get a Hydro tranny

I'm guessing you have a y1 or s1, better than the LS for sure.

try to find a ys1 tranny out of a 92-93 gsr, the ys1 case is almost identical to a hydro case aside from the actuator for the cable linkage, and is the only cable tranny you can put hydro ITR or GSR parts into.... I have a ys1 tranny with a itr diff and 4.9 fd. the 4.9 fd kit is an SRR and the b18c kit goes right in the ys1 tranny with no additional parts unlike the ATS 4.9 kit. You can find them for around 450-550....

Yep that what I run , 92 gsr ys1.. Be careful though as aesthetically the ys1 ls tranny is identical.. You need to count the splines on the gear sets to tell the 2 apart.

Can you count the splines just on the input shaft at the throwout bearing?

Nope because the the 92 Gsr is indeedbig spline like a 94 and up, so is the 92 ls tranny.
