When ever i turn off my car the fan runs for like 15-20 min, is trhis normal or a problem, the way i turn it off curently is buy pulling the fuse. Anyone have this problem b4?

yes. I have that problem before, the only different is that mine turns on all the time even though the engine is off and have to pull the fuse. But now it's fixed, the problem turn out to be hooking up the coolant sensor in the wrong place. Now work fine.

Just recheck your wires and make sure the sensor is in the correct place.

 

on usdm h22a's there are two fan switches A and B.
ECT switch B, is located on your thermostat housing, - it can only activate the fans when the ignition switch is ON, ECT switch A however- located on the side of the upper rad hose housing that is to the left of your headers - can operate the fans even when the ignition switch is OFF (note: jdm h22a's don't have ect switch A). In any case, there is a chance you have a prob with the actual ECT switch A, it's a simple switch, that as heat increases, resistance decreases (in the switch) allowing the current to pass thereby activating the relay to power the fan. if the switch is old or worn, it is possible that less heat is required to activate the switch - which is causing your pro-longed fan activation. On the other hand, it could be that your engine is actually running extremely hot - and needs about 15 mins of fan time to cool down. (?) but i'm sure you've assessed that that isn't the case. In any circumstance, replacing ECT switch A should do the trick, or if you wanna run like a jdm (and you're sure heat isn't a issue) just unplug it for now at the upper rad housing. (personally i have a jdm, and would prefer to have my ECT switch A back, but that's probably just me).
