That pic shows some good size scratches on the head surface- you may want to fix that before you install it- looks like a good path for coolant to flow to the outside of the block- it doesn't take much to cause a problem. How much did you pay for the DC?

Those are the JDM DC headers with the 2.5 inch collector. If you look at the great header test http://www.automotiveperformanceengi...om/header.html you will see that it is the best bang for the buck header, outperforming some of the more expensive headers (like Mugen)

your planning on full rebuilding hey? , rods, pistons, valves springs, ported, exaust, cam, valves, any turbo on the way?? maybe supercharged???, or nitrous, your engine will be very though after all that mods, it's not gona hurt im if your put on forced induction and nitrous, in a normal utilization way.

It's not the fact that the DC had more peak HP or Torque, but look at DC's curves? They're extremely unstable. The line should be smooth, not jagged. Jagged lines usually mean there is turbulance going on in the header that is causing a loss of power at that specific point.

I noticed how the power fluctuates, but it is still pretty close to the Type 1 header, and definitely an improvement over stock. I too do not look at peak horsepower, I look at the area under the curve. I do not think that the fluctuations will be noticeable during driving though as they are 1-2 hp which is too small for the butt dyno to feel.

Not really a lot of money, I gave a lot of thought to what I bought. I did not get the best of everything, just the pieces togive me a nice all around package.

I already did CTR pistons, and I am using JUN 3's with JUN valvetrain and crower ti retainers. A hondata stage 2 will help with the tuning.
