Default Tach install

Hey, new to the forum. Just bought a 93 dx, and im just learning. Please bare with me.

Recently purchased a iequus tachometer for my 93 dx. Has two mounting options, Direct hookup to igniton switch, or inductive pickup on ignition coil-wire/spark-plug wire.

I have everything installed and wired corectly via inductive pick-up(backlighting etc, 12v con. and ground), but im getting erratic readings, and id like to hard wire it to the ignition switch to see if its any better than the pick-up. Im just not sure exactly where to wire it since its an internal coil? (if im right on that ) I think there is a tach wire coming from the distributor but im not 100% sure, if some one could confim this, maybe with a picture that would be so helpfull.

Thanks,
Kyle.

Off the tach? I just looked, i see the solid blue wires coming from the plug off the distributor. One end goes to the battery, and the other to the distibutor, which end should i splice into?

Thanks again for the help,
Kyle.

there's a 2 wire plug on the dizzy, one's blue...the other is umm, thicker just splice into the blue wire and run it to your tach, job done.
