Default sudden power loss

stock ls. you will be driving and it will randomly have no power at all. if your gettin on it it feel like redline. like some random gay fuel cut. idk what it could be. wiring? if anybody has experianced this holler at me.

check your dizzy ( cap & rotor ) ...

1 time i was on the gas my car cut out at about 7k then started accelerating again....

My cap & rotor were dirty....

when was the last time you gave it a tune-up? if its been a while do that... cap, rotor, plugs, wires, filters, etc.

the same thing happens to my car and i cant figure out why. I just replaced my distributer, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. It happens to my car at about 3k

Might be tranny problem, gears arent lining up right for that gear...just a thought

I'm not a pro but if its like a sudden jolt then you go on up the power band you might want to check the spray on your injectors, this happened to me back in the days when i had a jetta. And if you do decide its fuel,don't run a fuel system cleaner till you take out or at least flush the tank, it might loosen up lots of deposits and clog up injectors even more(i speak from experience on that). Again not a pro just my 2 cents.

hmmm well the car did sit for a LONG time but i drained the fuel tank before i ran it. there could still be deposits. i supposed injectors is a possiblitity. thanx

horseman: no its not a tranny prob. idk why you would ever think that. wtf mate

something similar happend to my DA not to long ago i went to work shut the car off got some tools and on the way home it took a **** i checked for spark and none. rerplaced my ignitor that was the problem it could also be a coil.

Sounds like the ignitor is going bad. I would get a new ignitor,rotor,cap, and wires.

could this be a clogged fuel filter? or possibly something else w/ the fuel system?
