Default burning oil, help!

i have a 1990 honda civic, d15b1 engine code. it blew a head gasket right after i got it, i got a new head and all gaskets needed. my car smokes because im told my piston rings are probably fried. what can i do (OTHER THAN GETTING PISTON RINGS) to make it stop burning oil or at least to where it burns less oil. the car is my daily driver so i need replies soon. thanks

there is no way to make to make it stop burning oil if the pistons rings have gone...however u can slow it down by using a thicker oil...
it will be cheaper for u to buy a new motor and swap it in than to rebuild the one u got.....if u stay obd0 d series u will not have to change any wiring (unless u go mpfi) or mounts....it is not that hard to get those puny d blocks out of ur engine bay...i lifted the d15b7 out of my 95 coupe by myself...without tranny of course

yeah, im plannin on a swap but i wanted to be able to keep the motor thats in it and maybe sell it or part it out or some ****..? anyways...thats why i didnt want to put in new rings right now because it would be pointless since im swapping it out in a few months or less. i just wanted to keep my embarrassment level at a minimum in the mean time, because people get out from behind me due to all the smoke..its so crappy.

im goin to put a b16a1 in my car with a gsr head but its gonna be fully built before i even consider putting it in. stroker kit..all that ****. im going for all motor. im gettin a 97 teg ls in a few months and im gonna put a frankenstein turbo in that and boost as much as possible. you know if that smoke away **** is any good? even if it just smokes less then that would be fine. i just need anything that will help out even if its hardly noticable. thanks for the help so far
