Default Rolling up a Scion tC?

I need suggestions. I just bought my Civic from my friend, who got rid of it because he got an 06 Scion tC. I want to prove to him that the Civic is a better, faster car. Would I/H/E be a realistic 25-30whp gain on a 98 DX Hatch? What about suspension. I just basically want to do everything better than a tC, be faster, more stuck, and prettier.

First, HT doesn't like bench racing. Second, the TC will own you

25-30 HP gain on DX w/ I/H/E is unrealistic.

Swap the motor, that's a good start in becoming better than a tC

You could always just get a mini-me and a nice 35 shot or so of nitrous would be a nice little set up

The tC will own a dx Civic. In every way, more comfortable, better handling, more power, better looks etc...

If all you care about is beating him in a race with your dx. You are going to need a swap or a turbo. That dx engine is worthless unless you boost it. I/H/E isn't going to do anything but make the car louder and more annoying.
