Engine Swap
ok i'm starting today to swap my D15z6 for my D15B.......stop laughing.....anyway i have a engine hoist, i'm prolly going to figure out somewhere to jack it up at. meaning i dont have hooks on my engine. i have a full socket set a bunch of random tools. are there any special tools or things that i need to get or do before i start. other than a breaker bar.?
to actually pull the engine out put one bolt through a chain and into the front tranny mount and the other one goes somewhere behind the head on the driver side.
but other tools you will need are a hammer, rubber mallet will help on some parts, pliers, a punch for the "bitch pin", prybar and a swivel socket will make life so much easier.

you dont even need a hoist... i find it easier without one. since you already have a hoist and i dont want to explain, use your hoist

oh yeahhhhhh, if you're going to be swapping over the tranny, you need a 17mm 12 point socket and a 10mm 12 point socket to take out the flywheel and pressure plate bolts. to make life easier, try to find a clutch alignment tool or you can make one

torque wrenches are a must for specs

tools that will make your life easy would be a 8mm punch for the bitch pin, and a ball joint seperator to take off the drive shafts, also you might need a braker bar (or air gun) and 32mm socket for the axle nut

you dont need a ball joint puller, just hit the lca with a hammer and it will slide right out
