Do I set lash to ZERO when degreeing cams

Default Do I set lash to ZERO when degreeing cams

Need to know if I set lash to zero when degreeing cams.

Did a search, but not much info regarding this part of the process.

True TDC set already, Vtec lobe ready to be locked as soon as get more info regarding the above.

Now I can finally finish the motor and replace the 1.6L with the 1.8L.

The only part is leaves out is locking the Vtec on Hondas.

Lock Vtec by either:

1) Honda Manual: Using Honda Air Stopper to block off hole in head and applying air pressure through Vtec system, by removing bolt on the side of the head by the Vtec Solenoid and using fittings for the air hose connection.

2) Lock #1 rockers by swapping out the short and long pins on the rocker.

I opted to go with the Honda Manual way, I can lock the vtec without removing the cams.

The other process is too much, I don't have to remove the cams, remove LMA to access the #1 rockers to swap pins out to lock vtec and to have to do the reverse just to unlock vtec.
