Default EACV?

I'm under the impression that EACV = IACV. If this is true then if I unplug the EACV shouldn't my idle just drop to ~400-500 RPM. Currently I'm idling right about there with the EACV hooked up. If I unplug it the motor just dies. Is this normal?

Isnt the IACV on the older 88-91 motors and the EACV on the 92+. Its the same thing, just different names attached to it. Unless someone can quote me wrong, Please correct me
