Default greddy turbo kit question

im new to turbo's and am planning on turboing a b16a2. im not looking to go big and have huge numbers right away. i wanna get the greddy turbo kit and am wondering if i can just leave everything alone with the kit like the emanage just bolt up and go. wut else is involved with the install and to have it run smoothly without blowing my engine. just wanna start out slow and learn as much as possible.any1 with experience would be great im limited with money and am just wondering if there are hiddin things that i might need to run the engine stock with this kit such as tuning or nething else . oh and its going into a 97 civic coupe, will there be ne fitment problems since i have a swap

the only thing that you are really going to run into problems with is the ic piping with the swap, the greddy kits are car/motor/kit specific. you are also going to need a BOV, boost gauge, some odd tools to install the cast manifold on the lower bank of the #1 cyliner. ummm there is a little block shaving and some fan shroud shaving as well as some tricky wiring along with the e-manage, there is lots of time and money that needs to go into a car before turbocharging, thats why the greddy kit is not a bad choice for your first turbo kit, but leaves many and i mean many people wanting more(hp), including myself.

if you have any questions about the GReddy kit you can pm me or ask me with a post.

and if u want big numbers, u might want to go with a different turbo application, and for sure get ride of the emange that hting is a POS, get yourself an obd1 computer, and use crome pro, uberdate, hondata, or ems whatever u want, personally i am running crome pro on a obd1 p72 ecu.

to be sure that you are not turbo'ing a ticking oil bomb, go to a local performace or mom and pop place and ask for a compression test or even better a leak down test, compression tests are around $20-50, its very worth it to know if your motor has been wearing constitantly because it will tell you for sure if it can handle boost.

i kind of am going to go the same route as many people will tell you that if you cant afford to have your car down for a week atleast at anytime of the year, or cant aford anything but the turbo kit and such, i would suggest you to wait till you can. nothing ever goes exactly according to plan once things get under way, expecially your first time, **** i put over 6+hours into my intercooler piping only to have to re-due most of it once the tubo was installed. its a great learing process and once your done its pretty much cake after that.
