I need a 12+ power source...
to power my external fuel pump. I already tried to tap into the wiper motor, but it doesn't seem to supply enough. I'd like to have a power source under the hood or near the passenger side dash that gives a good amount of power only when the car is on. Thanks.
Did you try one of the Accessory terminals on the underdash fuse panel? If you need a different approach then you can run a separate lead from the Main Fuse panel to a relay and switch that with the Ignition switch.
The wires are run along the passenger side of the car. It says in the instructions to try to keep the wires as short as possible. Is there anywhere under the hood I can attach the pump to?

this would be the better way of doing it actually. number one, you should use some sort of fuse and relay to wire anything safely. number two, youll actually get more voltage to the fuel pump and thus more output from the pump because the battery will be at 14.5V, not 12.
otherwise, i dont see a problem of just using the accessory terminals under the driver side fusebox.
