Default Turbo kit help for 92 DX 4dr

i am going to order a greddy turbo kit for my civic and it clearly states in the description that it is a complete install but i dont see a wastegate anywhere in the kit, is it internal? and do i need a boost controller for a base kit like this or a boost gague since the boost is preset? any help would be great

I don't really know the prices on those kits but $2100 seems high for a Greddy kit. Maybe shop around alittle?

Should have posted in FI forum. I'll ask a mod to move it.

Enlarge the picture and look at the turbo. The bronze thing is a wastegate actuator. Those turbos have internal WGs.

I dunno man. You could build your own turbo kit for cheaper, or do a motor swap and get the same HP but with more potential.

Another issue you're going to have is that it uses EManage. It's a good program, but it's meant for the D16Z6 motor.

You could probably run it with little problems, but the fuel will probably be off a bit, especially in high RPMs when it's expecting to be in VTEC.

You might want to look into a kit that includes an intercooler so you don't have to worry as much about heatsoak.

With this kit I would reccomend you get a boost guage, but a boost controller isn't necessary. A boost controller would only be necessary if you wanted to up the boost. I don't know how high of boost that EManage supports. I know your stock map sensor will only support up to 10psi, though.

the greddy kit includes EVERYTHING need to boost. i have it and i also recommend getting a intercooler, bov, and boost gauge. i bought the greddy intercooler kit thats made for the 92-95 civics and the greddy turbo kit. you will be fine running the e-manage on a d15b7.
