Default VAFC ques.

had a VAFC hooked up to my 99 si just wondering.. when i would push my car to redline thru first and 2nd gear then in third around 7000 rpm my vtec kicks off and my engine light goes on..i know it has something to do with the VAFC just wondering could it be hooked up wrong?? loose wire??? or bad VAFC?? or anything else??? thanks for the help

Probably wired it up wrong. Or your VTEC solienoid is going bad.
