I have a 95 Si. The brake is a little low and it is really weak. I have to slam on the brake really hard to stop the car. It is impossible to brake remotely close to locking up the tires.

disk and pads are new. Fluid are new.

What could it be?

 

did you try to bleed the brakes?

 

yes... that's why I have new fluid in there.. totally flushed

 

Check your proportioning valve for leaks or blockages.

 

it could also be your master cylinder .. you should take off the lines and see if they pump right ..

 

you might want to look over your rubber brakelines and see if there are any signs of wear or bulges. the rubber could be wearing and flexing under braking causing your soft pedal. I had a similar issue a while back and replaced mine with goodridge stainless. huge difference, well worth the money. just a thought.
