i just recently put my factory radio back in the car for that clean OEM look and i need the code. I have tried the owner link at the honda web page and tried looking on the fuse box cover i need the code now so that i can trade the car in and get my 93 accord. is there anyother way to get it other than going to the dealer?

 

hey call around to local dealerships.... i have a 01 civic ex and all they did was hold down 1 and 6 i think and turn it on and it should bring up your serial number and just give them that ... they should be able to get the code for the head unit.....

 

11:08 friday night tried your little tricked and it worked, i really didnt feel like taking the radio out to get the # i guess ill give the dealer a call in the morning and see if they can give me the code over the phone.

 

nice to see that it worked for you.... i had to rip the head unit out to find that out ...hahah

 

oh man that sucks. anyway thanks i went and got the code today come to find out that i did even need the serial # since i bought the car from the dealer they had it all on file. oh and i posted the # on the back side of my fuse box cover just incase i need it again

Im curious to see if they charge you to get the code? I wouldnt be surprised.

 

Nope no charge for the code just have to have a picture ID the radio out of the car and the serial #, fortunatly for me i bought the car from midlands honda so all they had to do was pull my account
