2 Alpine 12'' Type-R's
You didn't say what 12" type Rs you have, but all but the 15" are 500W RMS and 1500W peak You should be looking at a 1000W RMS mono block sub amp, you didn't give us a budget so here is one that would work real good http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=221 and here are a bunch of cheaper ones http://search.ebay.com/search/...earch

Unfortunately Alpine does not have a 2ch amp that will work, not enough power, and non of Alpines 2/4/5 ch amps are stable @ 2ohms when bridged, the only amp Alpine has that will work, [and it is the best Alpine for the job] is the MRD-M1005, 1000W at 14.4V into 2ohms. MSRP $600 USF

you dont need to keep it all the same brand. if your subs are dual 4 ohm voice coils you can wire them all up in parallel for a 1 ohm load and connect it to this amp http://cgi.ebay.com/ORION-1200...wItem they will both get 600 watts.

That said, there are other amps out there that will do the job, with sub bass you don't need to put as much emphases on how "clean" the amp is as you would with a high-pass amp.
Now with that said, you will always be better off with a good brand name amp, there is nothing that can replace quality.
