Default coolant spits back out into the reservoir. need help.

anyone know what's wrong if coolant is spitting back out into the reservoir? happened yesterday when i was just parked and engine still on cause i was waitin' for parking at school, notice my temperature went almost completely up. i popped the hood and touched the hoses and sensors and everything was all hot. then when i opened the reservoir, i notice the little hose connected to the radiator was drippin' coolant back into the reservoir.

i have a 1996 honda civic ex coupe with a d16y8 with dc headers, dc short ram, dc exhaust, msd ignition and coil. the whole motor was rebuilt with oem parts. i bought it like that. had a tune-up couple months ago including flushed radiator. i'm thinkin' its a clog? or maybe something cracked. i don't know. any suggestions? help appreciated. don't want my whole motor burnt next time it happens.

that happens when the coolant temperature gets at such a high temperature because it expands, hence the reason for the overflow tank. for some reason your motor is overheating. check your thermostat, maybe that's the problem.
