I was wondering if anyone ever took the fabric off your seats and washed it in the washing machine.
Would this discolor my seats? or mess it up?

i do'nt think it would be worth it, taking the cloth off is a biznitch. if the katzskin kit wasn't expensive i'd say get that... if you choose to take off the cloth that is. steam cleaner deal is good, use it on your carpet too while your at it

From my experience of using a rug doctor at home on my carpet, and using the those types of machines at my old detailing job (FX Pro Detail, very repuitable shop, best work I've seen on the greater east side), those dont work for ****. You're better off getting a hold of a detailing supplier and finding some type of strong spray that will get out stains. Mist it over the whole seat, grab a rag and spend a good couple hours scrubbing and let dry.
Although the washing machine idea sounds good, use cold water and hang dry (or tumble dry/ no heat). Try it on one seat, if it messes it up, pick up a used one for cheap and add to the endless amount of facts on honda-tech and take away one of the MANY rumors.

I was chillin at a car wash one night, when I see this guy in the booth hosing doen the inside of the car...his **** was drenched, seats, console, dash everything. He then went over and vacuumed up all the sitting water. I asked him why he did it, he then told me he does it all the time. His interior was surprisingly new looking, but he had to have a case of the soggy *** from riding home on the damp seat.
That was probably irrelevant to everything, it just crossed my mind
