Default d16y7 block with d15b2 head

i asked this question in the ef forum, but no one seems to respond. will my stock crx head (d15b2) and all other external parts bolt right up to a d16y7 block? I have an 89 crx with piston rings that are making me throw clouds of annoying smoke. I cant seem to find a used b2 block, so im wondering if i should take a chance with the y7. thanks

The y7 wil bolt up, but oyu may have issues with the exhaust manifold, timing belt, and other little pesky things, but the head will bolt up and the engine would run.

will a y7 manifold and timing belt take care of it? or is it not worth the trouble?

I have tried a y7 timing belt with a 1.5 head, Didn't work. Not sure where you would go from there. I just know that it isn't straight forward, but it can be done with oem parts. THe manifold may possibly work. You need more input from somebody who has that setup///
