Default wiring issues

well.. i had this electrical problem.. when my car is sitting with all the accessories off it idles at 750.. but when i turn on my headlights or my heater the idle drops to 5##.. i had my alternator looked at and it is puttin out 85 amps or something like that.. anyways.. on the other side of the harness the one that connects to the battery terminal it is only gettin 30 amps... i was wondering if it would work if i took a wire (8 gauge) and connected it from the alternator to the battery with a 100amp fuse.. would this solve my problem...?! Somone plz help... thank you

it is normal for the rpm to fall a little when you turn on all your accessories because more power is being drawn to the battery. Did you use a volt-meter to measure the battery when it was idling? It should stay between 12v-14v.

i know itz normal for the rpm to fall.. but 200 rpms is a lot.. keep in mind that it doesn't come back up... and yes i've checked it with a meter.

its rather normal. When you turn on any accessory whatsoever, your RMPs and your voltage is going to grop. I work with car stereo systems, "aka pimping people's rides" all day long.

My car is the same way. I turn my car on and my amps draw enough power to supply a small country with enough power and I have NO SUBS.

this still makes no sense to me.. are you telling me your idle drops to the point where the motor starts shaking?! almost like the car is going to die... oh well.. i'm gonna go to an alternator shop tomorrow and check it.
